Chairman of the Board
James Hamilton was appointed as Chairman of our Board in June 2020. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Vitaltech Holdings and is the president of Valletta Capital, LLC. He served as Chairman and CEO of Wedge Networks, a security solution company, between August 2015 and June 2018 and has more than 30 years of leadership experience in senior executive roles across many highly successful high-tech companies. He has held executive leadership roles at Tipping Point Technologies (acquired by 3COM), Click Security, Cyan (acquired by Ciena), and Efficient Networks (acquired by Siemens). He holds degrees from the University of Texas at San Antonio and Lawrence Technological University.
Former Executive Chairman at Florafotonica
Hila Karah is the former executive chairperson of FloraFotonica and former CIO of Eurotrust Ltd. and serves as an independent business consultant to private and public companies on strategy, operations, financing, regulatory and corporate governance. Prior to Eurotrust, she served as a partner financial analyst at Perceptive Life Sciences Ltd., a New York-based hedge fund, and was a research analyst at Oracle Partners Ltd., a health care-focused hedge fund based in Connecticut. Ms. Karah is currently a Director and member of the audit and compensation committees at Intec Pharma (Nasdaq: INTC), and Director and member of the compensation committee at DarioHealth (Nasdaq: DRIO). Ms. Karah holds a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and has studied at the UCB-UCSF JMP. Hila joined the Cyren board in 2008.
Chief Executive Officer
Brett Jackson joined Cyren as CEO in April 2019 and was appointed to the Board in May 2020. An experienced, growth-oriented executive, he has led and scaled multiple companies in the security and analytics markets. He previously served as CEO of Digital Reasoning, an artificial intelligence analytics software company; as CEO and Chairman of Logi Analytics, Digital Harbor, and eSecurity; and as Chief Operating Officer of Cybertrust (acquired by Verizon) and Axent Technologies (acquired by Symantec). He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
Member of the Audit Committee
David Earhart is an independent consultant. Most recently, he was the President of the Security Business Unit at Ivanti. Prior to Ivanti, he was the President of One Identity, a Quest Software business, which was spun out of Dell Software. David also previously served as the Chief Executive Officer at Core Security, and was SVP of Worldwide Field Operations for Damballa, a leading provider of advanced threat protection. Prior to Damballa, David was SVP of Security (IAM) Field Operations at CA Technologies, and previously David held leadership and executive positions at BMC Software and venture-backed companies within the sales, support and services functions. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas Tech University. David is an External Director in accordance with the Companies Law, and joined the Cyren board in August 2013
Former CEO of Sourcefire
John Becker has more than 30 years of security and technology industry experience and a strong track record of growing highly successful technology companies. In addition to serving on numerous boards, he was previously Chief Executive Officer of Sourcefire, ScienceLogic, Approva Corporation, Cybertrust and AXENT Technologies. He spent the early part of his career in leadership roles at Marriott International and MCI Corporation. John is an External Director in accordance with the Companies Law, and joined the Cyren board in April 2017.
Managing Director at Warburg Pincus
Cary Davis is a Managing Director at Warburg Pincus, which he joined in 1994, and focuses on investments in the software and financial technology sectors. He also serves on the board of Crowdstrike Holdings (Nasdaq: CRWD) and on the boards of several private companies. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Cary was Executive Assistant to Michael Dell at Dell Computer and a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Cary received a B.A. in economics from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Cary joined the Cyren board in November 2017.
Managing Director at Warburg Pincus
Brian Chang is a Managing Director at Warburg Pincus, which he joined in 2005 and returned in 2009. Brian focuses on investments in the technology, software and financial technology sectors. He currently serves on the board of several private companies. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Brian worked at Merrill Lynch focusing on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions transactions. Brian received a B.S. with Distinction in electrical engineering from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Brian joined the Cyren board in November 2017.

Lauren Zletz is a Principal at Warburg Pincus, which she joined in 2015. Lauren focuses on investments in the technology, software, and internet sectors, and currently serves on the boards of several companies. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Lauren worked in private equity at Thomas H. Lee Partners, and investment banking at Greenhill & Company. Lauren received an A.B. in Social Studies from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Lauren joined the Cyren board in May 2018.
Chief Technology Officer at Warburg Pincus
Raj Kushwaha as over 25 years of experience in leading commercial software product development, strategic planning, technology operations, business transformation, ERP implementations, and process outsourcing initiatives at Fortune 500 companies in a variety of industries. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Raj held senior management positions at Zimmer Holdings Inc., Dell Computer Corporation, First Data Corporation (FDC), Cummins Engine Company and Safway, Inc. Raj holds an M.S. in management of technology from MIT, an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and Idaho State University; a B.S. in electrical engineering from India and completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) from Harvard University. Raj joined the Cyren board in August 2018.
