Brett Jackson joined Cyren as CEO in April 2019. An experienced, growth-oriented executive, he has led and scaled multiple companies in the security and analytics markets. He previously served as CEO of Digital Reasoning, an artificial intelligence analytics software company; as CEO and Chairman of Logi Analytics, Digital Harbor, and eSecurity; and as Chief Operating Officer of Cybertrust (acquired by Verizon) and Axent Technologies (acquired by Symantec). He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
Ken Tarpey joined Cyren as CFO in February 2021. He is a technology focused chief financial officer who has guided several technology companies through a path from the emerging growth phase to initial public offering (“IPO”). He has considerable experience in international markets, finance and tax policy, shareholder governance and investor management. Having successfully completed IPOs with Proxicom, Inc and SQA, Inc as their CFO, Ken has also been CFO for comScore, Inc, Videology, Inc, and ObjectVideo, Inc. Ken holds a bachelor’s degree from The College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from Babson College.
Lior Kohavi was appointed Cyren’s Chief Strategy Officer and EVP for Advanced Solutions in May 2019, having previously served as Cyren’s CTO for six years. His over 20 years of experience as a technology executive includes work as a business strategy architect at Microsoft, and as vice president of product management and strategy at Whale Communications. He led the development of cryptographic security at Cylink and served as head of the Israel Air Force’s Network and Operations Systems Department. Lior received his Executive MBA from Tel Aviv University and a degree in computer science from Bar-Ilan University.
Bruce is responsible for leading Cyren’s sales and go-to-market activities in the Americas. He has over 30 years of experience leading sales teams for high-growth cybersecurity companies, including several which have had successful exits. Bruce has held senior sales leadership positions at 4iQ, Vaultive, Fortscale, Thales-Vormetric, Entercept Security Technologies, Arcot Systems and Axent. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Marketing from California State University in Chico.
With deep cloud security technical expertise and problem solving skills, Michael Tamir is responsible for Cyren’s global support, deployment and customer success teams. He has previously served as director of security solutions, director of technical services, and director of professional services at Cyren over the past 13 years. Prior to joining the company, Michael spent six years in various system administrator and IT manager roles. Michael is based in Cyren’s Toronto office.
Boris is responsible for the infrastructure and operation of Cyren’s global security cloud. He brings to the task over 20 years of experience deploying, managing and optimizing IT networks and the delivery of cloud services. Boris joined Cyren from Sears Israel (subsidiary of SHC) where he served as Vice President of Operations, and previously held senior operations and infrastructure management positions for several Web based companies including ICAP, Playtech and others. Boris holds B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management (specialization in Information Systems) from Ben-Gurion University in the Negev.
Eva Markowitz, SPHR, SWP, SHRM-SCP joined Cyren as VP, Human Resources in October 2013. With 16 years of Human Resource leadership, Eva is focused on the management and development of Cyren's most valuable asset: its employees. Prior to joining Cyren, she worked as Human Resources Director for the Analysis Research Planning Corporation (ARPC). In addition, she has held positions with Thomas & Herbert Consulting, LLC, and SteelCloud. Eva received her B.A. from the University of Maryland.
